Instead, what Innes and Perry discover is that the earth's crust is only 500 miles thick and that the inner surface is inhabited. This is the land of Pellucidar, a place where dinosaurs roam through the jungles, and where saber-toothed tigers hunt the mastodon and mammoth. Features an original dust jacket by Bob Eggleton, illustrated endpapers by Sanjulian, 22 tipped in color plates and 89 b&w illustrations by artist like Frazetta, Stout, McCaig, St. John, Krenkel, etc. This edition is limited to 648 numbered sets signed by the contributors including William Stout.
